I love this image. Apparently this orphan monkey was being bullied at a zoo in China so the zookeepers gave it it’s own guard dog. Now the mean alpha monkeys stay away.

…the baby monkey is also very smart. Each time he smells danger he runs to jump on the dog’s back and holds on tight. The alpha male monkey has been really unhappy since we sent in Sai Hu. He tried to organise several ambushes on the little monkey, but they all failed because of the dog,” said a zoo spokesman.

Bella is a 6mo old corgie that I’m puppysitting for the week. We went to the beach yesterday where she ran and ran and ran (doing the full speed ahead i’m so excited my ears are gonna BURST puppy gallop!) Then we visited raj, jess, bob, and zara. It was a great day! (except for the part where she peed on zara’s rug).

We found Ice-Bat at Archimage in Rochester, and brought him home to live with us. We didn’t know how Zara and Ice-Bat would get along, but they’ve become fast friends!

So I’m not sure what’s up with all these cats in sinks…do cats really like hanging out in sinks??? I mean…it’s cold…and wet…and slimy. How could it be that they’ve got *thousands* of submissions and a book coming out at the end of the year?? (and if they’ve got thousands, what are we doing with a blog?! we should have a pineapples-in-sinks-site!! or something. admittedly pineapples are prickly and not as cute, but still.) Anyways, I bet all these cruel people are putting their cats in cold sinks just to get a cute photo…

…when really, I’m sure their kitty would rather be doing this.
