   on the 2nd time viewing it, it is even more “holy crap” / awe to me.
   would love to play with that bike — seems it’s got some pretty tuned suspension, the bigger, stabler wheels (?), and a rider who must have thighs the size of my gas-guzzler. like the tunes, too. i’m glad he’s wearing a helmet — but dropping 1-1/2 flights to hard pavement — it makes *me* nervous not to see a *full helmet* (a la motorcycle), chest/collarbone protector, and elbows/knees pads. (but then again i’m nervous now post crash 8-)

   growing up as a kid in the sticks (with the hicks), my brothers and i would roll around little dirt tracks/trails with our teeny dirt bikes and always loved watching the trick bike riders.

   yep that’s a trials bike, although i think you can do tricks on a regular mountain bike if you set the seat really really low. there’s more on trials riding over here. http://www.trials-online.com/index.php

   watching this video made me resolve to learn how to at least bunny hop stuff by the end of the year. i mean if he can do backflips off of tree trunks, surely i can hop a log right? we’ll see, i’ll report back in december :-)
