Thanks for the tips, Greg!

The TouchStream is the best solution I've found for drastically reducing pinky usage.

I have a long-term problem with RSI in my right pinky tendon. I wrote up an explanation of my situation here:

http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~greg/pinky-rsi.html

For any long-term RSI problem, I would not advise ibuprofen or ice packs to reduce "swelling" unless it is recommended by a knowledgeable doctor. From what I have read, the underlying problem is often tiny lacerations and scars in the tendons, not swelling due to inflammation. I won't say "always" because I'm not a doctor either, but certainly it is a mistake to treat all RSI as inflammation. It can make a non-inflammatory condition outright worse.

Nice list, there were some good ones. I've got some some other things that help me as well:

* Be sure to breath properly using your diaphragma to reduce stress in your whole body.

* Be aware of tension in your muscles. Be sure to relax your shoulders / neck. Proper breathing helps a lot here.

* Use an anti-rsi program that lets you do special anti-rsi exercises throughout the day.

* Learn to type with 10 fingers, independently. This way you won't have to use your wrists all day to move the fingers. Use some sort of typing program until you can type blind while not moving your wrists at all.

* Learn to type with 10 fingers properly, making mistakes and going all the way to the backspace key is bad for your wrist. The less mistakes you make, the better it is (I still got to work on this one).

* Use a program that can emulate a mouse with some keyboard strokes, like Mouser, this way you can use your mouse with the keyboard. This saves going from keyboard to mouse and back. Very, very handy program. Too bad it's not for mac... if anyone has a good alternative, let me know.

Oh, and +1 to the Wacom tablet, it's really good :)
