Etsy Feeds for Slide!
It’s all about uber-hacked full-of-regular-expressions 97-line PERL script that brings two great things together at last: Slide and Etsy! Head on over to the etsyfans page on Slide and subscribe to any of the Etsy categories, of which my favorite is either Toys or Crochet. It’s like Cute Overload, except you can buy the stuff !

so I finally played with the mac player today and here’s some really quick feedback!
–I’ve subscribed to 15 feeds and want to see them all in the player but selecting each of them individually from the drop-down menu on top is not so convenient (although I guess once it’s done, I don’t have to do it again…but perhaps a window that slides out to the right or left with a list of my feeds and a checkbox next to each so I can select what I want to watch in a single shot? that would be slick!)
–It seems the pause button should turn to play when the player is paused (also it’s kind of weird to see the player controls vertically rather than horizontally oriented but that’s just a quibble).
–once I installed the app, there didn’t seem to be an obvious way for me to login to the site (maybe because I forgot to login before installing)
– I noticed that the images were being played from my feeds in random order (which I like!) but I imagine some might want images to play sequentially (so it might be a nice option to have down the line)
All in all though, super cool! I especially like being able to drag and drop images into my browser window to get to the item I want.
it’s like window-shopping! hmm…actually it literally is window shopping :)
